We've been known by a few different names over the years — formerly El Toro Bar, also Caballos Negros — but the spirit has always been the same. This is a place where regulars know your name, where the music isn't too loud to talk over, and where the drinks are made by people who actually care.
Black Horses Tavern is our current chapter: a bar and café that works just as well at 10 a.m. with a pour-over as it does at 10 p.m. with a whiskey sour. No pretense. No dress code. Just good drinks, real conversation, and a corner of Brooklyn that feels like yours.
